about
Tokyo’s legendary funk-garage rockers ZOOBOMBS are back! After more than a decade away from Australian stages, the unstoppable sonic force returns for a long-awaited tour in May and June 2025.
To coincide with the tour, the band will be releasing a new Australian edition of their classic 1999 album Let It Bomb via Cheersquad Records & Tapes. 'Let It Bomb' is available on limited edition (100 only) translucent red 12" vinyl and black 12" vinyl, as well as digitally, and will be released on 23 May 2025.
Formed quietly in a corner of Tokyo on a full-moon night in September 1994, Zoobombs was buzzing in the Tokyo alternative rock scene at the time. Their first two albums, with their noisy, garage sound, somehow attracted the support of many listeners and critics, and the band made their debut in the US. The album 'Let It Bomb' was originally released in 1998. It was welcomed by fans and critics alike as the Zoobombs' first masterpiece, and served as a springboard for their step move to the major label. Many fans still cite “Let It Bomb” as a favourite.
